Threat to Kabul's Indian Embassy

A powerful explosion took place when a vehicle with explosives drove into the wall of our Indian Embassy in Afghanistan's capital city at around 8:27 Kabul time.Unfortunately,12 people have been killed and 84 others have been injured. But fortunately, all the personnel who were inside the embassy at the time of the blast are safe.Three of our personnel who were guarding the perimeter wall of our Embassy have been slightly injured.A suicide bomber was involved in the blast who came up to the outside perimeter wall of the Indian embassy with a car loaded with explosives, with the aim of targeting our Embassy.A plume of smoke was seen rising from the site of blast outside the embassy.According to Kabul's Indian Ambassador Jayant Prasad, all the members of our Embassy are safe.

Going through the past records, a similar attack had taken place on july 2008 on the mission in which four Indians were killed when a suicide car bomber rammed the front wall of our Indian Embassy, killing 41 and wounding 147.It was said to be one of the deadliest attacks in the Afghan capital.

Also this is the fourth attack since August in Kabul and the second attack on the Indian Embassy in a year.

India has thus become a big target because of its large presence in Afghanistan. Post-Taliban, New Delhi has pledged over $1.26 billion in aid to war-ravaged Afghanistan, making India the fifth largest donor nation to the country after the US, Britain, Japan and Canada but to no avail.
Pity and humanity is not something which can be shown in a country like Afghanistan because it has never proven to be fruitful to us as they are blowing our properties and innocent lives one after the another.Day by day,India and its people are getting more and more exposed to terrorist attacks. Is there any solution to this unending brutality?
